Feijoa - Opal Star

Opal Star is a compact, bushy feijoa that produces medium–large fruit with smooth green skin and a rich, aromatic flavour. It’s ideal for eating fresh or using in desserts. A late-season variety, it typically ripens from April to May and benefits from planting near another feijoa for best yields.

Thriving in sunny, sheltered spots with free-draining soil, it’s tolerant of coastal conditions and light frost once established. Growing to around 3–4m, Opal Star is perfect for home gardens and hedging while providing reliable harvests and attractive evergreen foliage year-round.
