Pomegranate - Granatum

Pomegranate Granatum is a deciduous shrub that grows to approximately 2m x 3m. It produces a mass of bright orange/red flowers from late Spring followed by the round fruit that are yellow with a red blush, and bright red arils when fully ripe. 

The tree has a compact habit and is self fertile. Pomegranate grow well in containers, and are easily shaped with pruning. Best grown in a sunny position and they adapt to most types of soil that are free-draining. These are frost tolerant as they are deciduous.
