Sapodilla, Chiku Plant
Again, Flying Dragon has delivered excellent plants that are healthy and vigorous. I don't know about the taste or character of
Casimiroa Platts fruits given I've never tried them and Casimiroa trees take about four to five years to begin fruiting in abundance, but Platts is a yellow flesh variety and yellow flesh Casimiroas are more thick and creamy than white flesh varieties. From My own experience, the yellow flesh varieties are definitely more delicious than the white flesh, so Platts should be excellent. Even though many Casimiroa varieties are self-fertile, it's a good idea all around to plant as many different varieties as possible. Ten meters apart should be about the maximum distance.
The seedling plants can be spaced fairly close together to form a complex single tree unit. For example, You could have four different yellow flesh varieties together in the same hole. Best to dig the hole to at least a cubic meter and use excellent potting mix fortified with compost, sheep pellets and watered in with rich seaweed tea. Top up with compost and sheep pellets twice a year and give seaweed tea every three to four months. The trees, once mature and fruiting, can be pruned so the fruit are within easy reaching distance without a ladder. Otherwise, Casimiroas will grow to be very large - six meters tall and six meters wide if not more. The fruit can be eaten like an Apple with the skin on and can be picked when full size but still hard and ripened indoors, so birds will not eat them. If the fruits are left on the tree and start to get even a bit soft, birds will destroy them. Some fruits stay quite small and are mature at that point while other fruits get much larger (up to about 110mm in diameter) and are of the same maturity, i.e. the fruits don't necessarily have to be large to be ready to pick.
I was so excited to see this different finger lime for sale. From purchase to receiving my lovely, excellent sized plant, it was less than 48 hours! Unparalleled service! I have a green finger lime already that has been prolifically fruiting for years and I really wanted the pink one. I can’t wait for it to fruit……in six years.

The process of buying is extremely easy and painless, delivery is also super fast with great package. The plant itself is very healthy and bigger than I expected which is a bonus! What I would love it to include is the care guide with the plant we buy as this is an exotic plant and would love an advice from your expertise. Two planting options for citrus
Flying Dragon Dwarf
The Flying Dragon citrus rootstock, developed in Japan, is ideal for small-space gardening. This innovative rootstock restricts tree height to 1.5-2 meters while yielding abundant, high-quality fruit. With strong resistance to common citrus diseases and adaptability to cold and wet climates, Flying Dragon thrives in pots, on balconies, and in courtyards, making it perfect for manicured citrus trees. Introduced into New Zealand by our nursery, this exceptional rootstock enables citrus enthusiasts to create their own citrus paradise, regardless of space constraints.
trifoliata(Standard)
The Rubidoux trifoliata, a cold-hardy, rootstock known for its upright growth and resilience to various biotic and abiotic stresses, making it suitable for diverse growing conditions. Trees grafted onto Rubidoux yield more fruit with higher sugar content than other trifoliata varieties, and when unpruned, can reach a mature size of approximately 2.5 to 3.5 meters in height and width. This rootstock is an excellent choice for both commercial and home growers.
