The Fig Brunoro Black is a beautiful plant that adds interest to any garden with its deeply divided leaves. This variety produces an early crop of dark-skinned fruit with red flesh similar to that of Celeste or Malta. In warmer areas, there is also a bonus of a second crop later in the season. To ensure the best growth and fruit production, it is important to plant this fig in a location with full sun and well-drained soil. To promote better fruit set, be sure to feed the plant with a potash-rich fertiliser in mid-spring. Regular watering during the summer months is also important to keep the soil moist. Other care tips for figs include regular pruning to promote healthy growth and the removal of any damaged or diseased branches.
