Avocado Tree Acclimation Guide

  1. Unpack, water, and avoid direct sunlight immediately to prevent shock.
  2. Acclimate for 2–4 weeks: Place in a sheltered spot with morning sun and afternoon shade. If planting in a container, acclimate after planting.
  3. Protect from extremes: Use shade cloth, windbreaks, or frost blankets as needed. Apply anti-stress sprays or tree paint to prevent sunburn.
  4. Monitor temperatures: Shield the tree if below 4°C (40°F) or above 32°C (90°F).
  5. Expect minor stress; maintain consistent care.
  6. Critical: Do not disturb the rootball during planting.

Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged during acclimation.
