Cherimoya - White - Grafted

"White" is a fantastic variety of Cherimoya, which is produced on a medium sized tree that tends to have tall shoots. The tree has large, oval-shaped, olive-green leaves with soft and velvety undersides and performs well in cooler climates. The fruit are large, and have less seeds than many other varieties. The flesh is very sweet, has a smooth texture and an amazing flavour. 

Although hand pollination is often recommended, we have found that ants do a fantastic job of pollinating Cherimoya, and we have not noticed a difference in yield from hand pollination or natural pollination. 

The fruit is harvested from August to October. Once mature, the fruit is picked and ripened at room temperature. The fruit are used for many things including a sweet addition to smoothies, however this variety is perfect for slicing in half and eating it fresh with a spoon.
