Big, crisp, low-seed guavas, and these trees are already flowering.
The Vietnamese Giant (Psidium guajava) is grown for its huge fruit, often 500 g–1 kg in the tropics and a little smaller in NZ. The flesh is crisp and white with fewer seeds than most guavas, and the flavour is mild, sweet and low in acid. The firm fruit keeps well and is great fresh, juiced, or eaten Vietnamese-style with chilli salt.
