Lucuma - Montalban

Montalban is a soft-fleshed type of lucuma, a productive Peruvian cultivar that thrives in the Auckland/Northland region. It is believed to be adaptable to any area in New Zealand where avocados can be grown. Montalban produces larger fruit than typical lucuma varieties, with a shape and size similar to large persimmons. Most of the crop ripens during winter.
